Primary historical resources and contemporary accounts by tribal representatives comprise the content of www.trailtribes.org. This richly illustrated website presents Traditional Culture; Contemporary Culture; and Relationship with the U.S. for tribes from six areas, three on the Missouri River and three on the Columbia: Lakota; Mandan & Hidatsa; Blackfeet; Northern Shoshone and Bannock; Umatilla, Walla Walla, & Cayuse; and Chinook. Content was developed in partnership with tribal educators.
